1. Anorexia

The first type of eating disorder that a person can develop is anorexia. Anorexia occurs when a person is too concerned with weight and simply refuses to eat. A person suffering from this disease usually tries to hide it by throwing food out without anyone knowing, cutting the food into smaller pieces to look smaller, or slipping about skipping the whole meal. Anorexia is dangerous because it does not allow a person to lose weight in a healthy way. Cutting fat from your diet is not a problem, but not enough protein, vitamins, minerals, water, and other nutrients can make your body lose muscle weight and weaken.

2. Bulimia

Another type of eating disorder is bulimia. While you may notice anorexia people who lose a lot of weight in a hurry, someone who suffers from bulimia may or may not lose weight. If a person has bulimia, he has no will power to release food, but instead, vomits or uses laxatives after meals to cleanse the body of these foods. Like anorexia, it can rob the body of the main nutrients, and it can also cause problems in the throat, digestive,  and oral systems, which are not made for regular vomiting.

3. Binge eating

The third type of eating disorder is binge eating. This is a combination of anorexia and bulimia in many cases. The food eater will be like bulimia, not eliminating its own food. In fact, a liquor-eating person will eat large quantities of food in one serving, and often these foods have no high nutritional value. Instead of vomiting, the bread-eater will refuse to eat at all and exercise strictly for a day or two but then slips back into the party. This causes major problems with weight.

Eating disorders can affect men and women, as well as people of race, ethnicity, or age. Most commonly, victims of eating disorders are teenagers and young adult girls. Many people die every year due to complications with eating disorders, but if you or someone you know is suffering from this problem, help is available.
